Grants for Environmental or Animal Protection Volunteers
A $300 non-refundable and non-transferable grant will be applied toward any newly enrolled student's tuition if said student is able to complete and document 40 verifiable hours of uncompensated volunteer work for any non-profit 501(c) Environmental or Animal Protection Organization before the start of their first scheduled class. These 40 volunteer hours must be documented with the exact times that hours were served and accompany references and contact information for the organization and individuals with which the volunteer hours were completed. Further, the above named volunteer hours must all be completed within the same calendar year that the student wishes to enroll in California Wind Tech. Please note that documentation in the form of a timesheet with a description of the work accomplished and the organization’s tax identification number (EIN) must be signed and dated by an immediate supervisor and that this timesheet must be received, preferably by email, at least one week before the start of the first scheduled class. Further, this grant is only applicable toward California Wind Tech’s tuition and California Wind Tech, including its employees and affiliates, will not be held liable for damages, losses, or costs that can, in any way, be associated with participation in volunteer activities.
